This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) is issuing this Sources Sought Notice in accordance with the FAR 10.002(b)(2) as a means of conducting market research to identify qualified sources with the capability and the resources to meet the Veterans Health Administration s (VHA) Non-Expendable Equipment National Program requirement for Dental Delivery Units and Chairs. The SAC in conjunction with VHA is seeking a qualified source to provide brand name or equal to A-dec® Dental Delivery Units and Chairs on an agency wide basis. VA intends to award a Requirements Contract with Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) orders IAW FAR 16.503, Requirements Contract to a supplier of this Robotic Surgical Systems. Vendors will be required to deliver Dental Delivery Units and Chairs to VA medical centers and facilities located in the Continental United Status (CONUS) or Outside of Continental United Status (OCONUS). The anticipated period of performance is for one 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods from the date of award. However, the Government's decision as to whether to continue with the contract, upon annual review, will be based upon successful performance during each previous year and continued need. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339114 Dental Equipment and Supplies Manufacturing and the associated size standard is 750 employees. The FAR Provision found at 52.204-7(b)(1) requires that All interested Offerors must be registered in SAM prior to submitting an offer or quotation. You may access the SAM website at SAM.gov | Home. There is no solicitation available at this time. 2.0 SCOPE Dental Units and Chairs facilitate dental examination, treatment, and/or minor surgical procedures performed in dental clinics. The A-dec 511B dental chair can rotate (swivel) to any position within 30° either side of center (60° total). The chair swivel brake restricts rotation of the chair to keep the chair from moving during a procedure. The A-dec 511B dental chair utilizes the integrated Deluxe Touchpad, and the Standard Touchpad to control the chair positioning (Base up and down, Back up and down). These functions can also be controlled with the use of an optional foot switch. The A-dec 511B chair was developed using pressure mapping to achieve a contour back that eliminates most hot spots (pressure points) to achieve superior patient comfort. The patient population served by the VA healthcare systems routinely present with more severe disabilities than the general population. Wheelchair-bound and obese patients are common. As a result, VA dental providers routinely state that the dental chair patient lift capacity is critical for serving their patient population. The 500lb maximum patient load of the A-dec 511B dental chair is most in the industry. The chair has a height range of 13.5 to 31.5 . The A-dec 511 dental chairs have a Seamless (Non-absorbent) Upholstery that allows for cleaning with disinfectant written into the IFU (Instructions For Use).
