The City of San Antonio’s Capital Delivery Department is soliciting proposals for the complete renovation of Main Plaza in downtown San Antonio. Work includes demolition; site grading and paving to improve Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility; a new 5,500-square-foot pavilion shade structure and open-air porch; a food and beverage building; restroom renovations; concrete and stone paving, seat walls and retaining walls; artificial turf, landscaping and irrigation; utility upgrades; site lighting and audio/visual infrastructure; mounting structures for The Saga art installation at San Fernando Cathedral; and site furniture. Four additive alternates address off-site tree relocation, salvage and delivery of existing pavers, a new storage building annex and associated amenities, and technology connections to Municipal Plaza Building.
